Serving breakfast since the 1950s, Ranganna Tiffin Centre is a small, clean, no-frills, hole-in-the-wall eatery known for its delicious, traditional Karnataka breakfast. 

The menu features favourites such as masala dosa, khali dosa, thatte idly, masala vade, and a rotating selection of rice baths including chitranna, tomato bath, pulav, and puliyogare, with the offerings changing daily.

Located in the quiet town of Avati in Devanahalli Taluk, just off NH44 connecting Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Ranganna Tiffin Centre has become a popular breakfast stop for locals, road trippers, cyclists, and trekkers exploring the region.

The food is served simply with chutney and sagu, without sambar. The standout dishes are the crisp masala dosa, soft khali dosa, flavourful masala vade, and tangy chitranna. The thatte idly is exceptionally soft and pairs beautifully with the fresh chutney. 

While the taste of the food is excellent, those expecting classic breakfast accompaniments such as uddina vada, sambar, or a cup of filter coffee may be left wanting, as the eatery does not serve them.

• The hotel opens at 7:00 AM.
• Expect a rush between 8:00 AM and 8:15 AM, when school and office commuters arrive to collect breakfast parcels.

• Small, clean, non-AC dining area with shared seating for approximately 20–25 guests.
• Ideal for solo diners, friends, motorcyclists, cyclists, and small groups.
• Not recommended for large families with kids or diners looking for a leisurely meal, as seating is limited and tables turn over quickly.

• The staff are friendly, courteous, and efficient.
• Breakfast is served on a banana leaf placed over paper, maintaining a traditional eco-friendly dining experience.
• No cutlery is provided.

Dining Etiquette:

• After finishing your meal, fold the banana leaf and dispose of it in the designated dustbin.

For Motorcycle Riding Groups:

• The dining area is compact, with no dedicated space to store riding jackets, helmets, or luggage. Consider this if you are a group of more than 3 people.
