Tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood in JP Nagar, under the canopy of lush mahogany trees – Kinya Coffee is a cozy, and petite coffee shop with a calming vibe.
Deriving its name from Tulu (a language spoken in the coastal Karnataka), Kinya means ‘small’ and despite its compact size, Kinya Coffee shop offers:
- Outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying a coffee while admiring your motorcycle parked at the kerb.
- Indoor seating with air conditioning.
The coffee shop’s interiors and exteriors exude a minimalist elegance, with sleek lines, muted tones, and tasteful décor creating a subtle and stylish ambiance.

Equally minimal, but delicious is their compact food menu of cakes, muffins, puffs etc, however the coffee selection is extensive and covers all the essentials – hot, iced, cold-brew.
For the non-coffee folks, they serve bottled, branded variants of kombucha.

Must Try:
I am not a Kombucha fan, hot and cold coffee is where my heart is – so the below recommendations are for the coffee-lover.
Overall, their cold brews are my favourite.
- Whiskey Barrel Cold Brew: Cold brew made with coffee beans aged in whiskey barrel. If you are a whiskey-nut – this is the next best thing to a real whiskey!
- Ginger-ale based Cold Brew: A beautiful coming together of my 2 favourites – ginger ale and coffee. An absolute masterclass – supremely tasty and refreshing! 🤤❤️
- Cranberry Cold Brew and Fizzy Brew: I couldn’t taste them this time, but definitely coming back to try them soon!
- Iced Spanish Latte and Iced Chocolate: While this seemed to be the most popular, I didn’t find them to be special or delicious enough to order a 2nd one.
- Cappuccino and Pastries: I couldn’t try them either since the pastries were out of stock 🙁 And the warm afternoon demanded only iced drinks 😬😄
