Thronged by locals for its delicious biryani, rice meals, lemon tea and fish fry, Hotel Sea-Gull in Ponnampet town of Coorg was started and is run by Mr. Somasunder, who left his police job to start this restaurant three years ago.

Hotel Sea-Gull is a no-frill, small restaurant with basic ambiance serving a tasty fare of veg and non-veg breakfast, lunch and dinner coupled with all-day snacks.

Must Eat: 

• Chicken Biryani: very tasty and medium-spiced biryani rice with deep-fried chicken pieces with bone, served with raitha and very delicious, spicy coconut chutney 🤤
• Unlimited Rice Meals : Simple, tasty meals perfect for the vegetarian foodie – served with white rice or boiled rice), sambar, rasam, papad, pickle, raita, spicy chutney and fish curry 
• Lemon Tea : one of the best lemon tea I have tasted – a dash of cinnamon and mint leaves accentuate the taste 😋
