Vasudev Adiga’s chain of restaurants are undoubtedly one of the most popular destinations for vegetarian South Indian food serving up fast food, north indian food, fresh juices and many such stuff.
But their USP is Authentic South Indian breakfast such as the Idly, Uddin Vada, Dosa etc ; Stopping by for breakfast after a short sunday ride makes it a ‘Perfect Sunday Ride‘ 🙂
About Vasudev Adiga’s :
The restaurant was started by Mr. K N Vasudev Adiga, who was an engineer by profession back in 1994 – Popularly known as Adiga’s. It was an off-shoot from the famous and still existing Brahmin’s Coffee Bar in Chamarajpet, Bangalore; in fact Brahmin’s Coffee Bar was started by Vasudev Adiga’s father, late Sri K V. Nageshwar Adiga, alias Nagesh Rao. way back in 1965.
Enough of history, lets get back to the food – which was Tasty and Hygienic. I love the Khara bath and the crisp vadas make life so good 🙂
First always start with the Khara bath and end with the vada dipped in unlimited sambhar ( I can drink till eternity, it tastes that good, glad they don’t charge for the extra serving 😛 )

Polished off the following (with assistance from 3 other friends):
- Khara Bath – 16INR/plate
- Onion Dosa – 30 INR
- Uddin Vada – 14 INR/vada
- Poori-Sagoo – 25 INR/plate (One plate contains 3 pooris)

Location:
They have about 10 restaurants across Bangalore
Vasudev Adiga’s Foodline
8th Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore (Near the Cafe Coffee Day)
Well, the downside of such a popular food-joint is undoubtedly the crowd, but its worth the struggle 🙂
