I have never been a coffee fan, not that I disliked it; never did I have those mid-night coffee cravings. Little did I know that after a visit to Bhadra Coffee Shop in Balehonnur would change my outlook about coffee.

About Bhadra Coffee Stop:
Located in the midst of a coffee plantation, this brew is as fresh as it can get. Imagine you walk into this shop in the morning and the guy says ‘ Please wait for 10 mins Sir, my boy has gone to fetch the coffee beans for roasting ‘ – followed by the aroma of roasting the coffee beans and grinding them to prepare the first brew of the day to satiate the highway travelers 🙂

The Road to Bhadra Coffee Shop:
Bhadra Coffee Shop is about 300kms away from the CCD infested Bangalore on the Sringeri-Chikmaglur State Highway in Karnataka – the Coffee Capitol of India.
Blessed with lush green, serene roads and an awesome weather, a ride to his place is a motorcyclist’s delight covering an array of roads which allow those 150 kmph blasts to puttering around at 40 kmph around the coffee plantations to the knee-scraping corners.

Although their most-popular brew is the Pure Coffee aka no chicory (Read – 100% Caffeine Pleasure 😛 ), it is their Cold Coffee which made my day 🙂

All this is super easy on the wallet, heavy on the tummy though : D

Bhadra Coffee Shop is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 7:30 pm.

Verdict: Worth riding 300kms for a cup of coffee 🙂
My search for Filter Coffee Nirvana ends 🙂
