Blending nostalgia with contemporary cafe culture, Kahale Filter Kaapi Bar in Jayanagar 4th block sits within a typical independent house in Jayanagar, converted into a coffee shop with 1980’s- 90’s era interiors and decor.
Named after the ‘Kahale’, a traditional wind instrument played to herald new beginnings.

Kahale Kaapi bar offers:
- Outdoor seating sporting the katte tradition of Karnataka, found beneath trees, engraved with the chowka bara board-game.
- Indoor AC-seating with small tables and benches along the wall. They have a podcast room, a space for community building and conversations.
Kahale Filter Kaapi Bar offers filter coffee along with cold brews, iced blends and cold foams – an example of the ‘co-existence‘ of traditional and new-age coffee under a single roof.
They also serve tea (hot + iced ones), selection of refreshers (syrup-based coolers), biscuits and powdered beverages (Iced + Hot-versions of Milo, Boost, Horlicks, Hot Chocolate etc).

Must-Try:
Beverages:
- Bellada Kaapi: simple, classic and delicious – a premium version of our typical south-Indian Darshini filter kappi 🤤
- Hazelnut Cold Foam Cold Brew: This is my 1st cold brew with cold foam ever and it was refreshing and supremely delicious – can’t wait to try the other ones. 😍
- Vietnamese Iced Filter Kaapi: I didn’t like this one, very flat in taste ☹️
- Jackfruit Jackie: jackfruit and coconut based drink – very tasty.
- Seebe Subbi: their version of chilli-guava – was delicious.
Eats:
- Gulab Jamoon Cheesecake: absolutely delicious! Never imagined this combo of gulab jamoon and cheesecake would taste so darn good! 🤤
- Tiramisu: We couldn’t get to try this, since it was sold-out 🙁
