Cycling has its benefits besides the health aspect, it allows me to soak the scenery and the aromas of highway food 😛
Uphara Darshini, a small vegetarian hotel suggested by a friend is easy to miss, in fact we overshot and had to pedal back about 3kms. It is a regular looking hotel, no extra jazz or no legacy or any such stuff associated with it.
But what comes out of the kitchen leaves one lip-smacking 🙂
Located about 35kms from Bangalore on Kanakpura road, this place is about 1km from Harohalli Bus Depot towards Kanakpura.

- Idly Vada@INR 25
- Filter Kaapi @INR 7
- Tea ( ask him to add Ginger and it tastes straight out of Assam) @INR7
They also serve the regular idly, vada, plain dosa , set dosa etc.
Head to this place with an empty stomach and a smile, you may just get a complimentary tea 🙂
